I decided to respond to the question whether or not sex ed should be taught in the nations public schools. I personally feel that yes it should. I know that some parents may disagree and would like to be the ones to inform their children about abstinence but by the time they feel their children should be informed about sex it may possibly be too late. Children are growing up much faster than our generation and are exposed to way more stuff than I myself and an older generation were exposed to. I feel that sex ed needs to be about abstinence-plus becasue not only will they be learning about the importance of abstinence but there is definitely going to be the group who chooses not to follow the path of abstinence and so therefore if  abstienece plus is taught they could possibly prevent the chances of either getting pregnant or contracting and std.
